Last year I absolutely adored Miss Unkon, so was very excited to see what Courtney Meyer had in store this season. Sticking to her ‘feminine yet a little bit kooky’ aesthetic, the new line is beautiful and presented a few different shapes to the current popular trends. Pleated shift tops and skirts with beaded lines at the bottom especially. I loved the almost Rorschach-esque print on the front of some of the pieces, especially when the shirt itself was sheer, with just the print being bold. A soft colour palette consisting of nudes, teals and rose pinks kept the collection delicate, while the harsh top-knotted hair, mixed with sheer materials covering naked breast, silver armbands, and The Runaways’ ‘Cherry Bomb’ playing really made the collection unkonventional.
Check out the gorgeous brocade/cutout pattern on the final dress. Amazing work Courtney!
